Nobody with half a brain cell should have gone anywhere near Asia since December/January.
There was sufficient time, approx five weeks, to return to the UK and to cancel trips before the world wide, clearly indicated, shut down, though some routes are still operating. Meanwhile the government are gradually flying people back.

A few facts I looked up which might interest some. I do not blame the tourists. Dominic Raab advised of all but essential travel on 17th March. Six days later (23rd) he announced that all UK tourists should return home. India announced & began its lockdown on the same day 23rd.
When did they travel out there?
People who chose to fly to far off places makes great BBC News, yet Scottish Elderly & High Risk People are being Abandoned, & not a word from the BBC, we have gambled twice this week with our lives, food v Virus, go hungry or maybe get the Virus, great option, & NO ONE CARES

I am really surprised this kind of issue isn’t getting more attention. I am a travel agent and having to deal with repatriating people at the moment. So many UK citizens are stuck abroad, the government needs to step in now as some countries are not allowing flights in or out!
Where the hell government is to be blame for this ? If the Indian government itself have closed all airports and stopping all international flights in and out where the hell you want the government to do .. and they knew what was the issues why not getting out sooner 🤷♀️
