About the same Coors and Heineken have had across the years.

How many students have been infected How many at hospital?

If you are intelligent, very few If you are a covidiot, well then you get what you deserve

Locked in their room, isolated, charged for sub standard food parcels, poor quality online education.

Don’t know , decided to defer for a year

Being riped off by universities and landlords!

1. Instead of 2 hour seminars they now get 1 hour 2. Teacher are late or not available for online classes 3. Email replies from lectures are painfully long.

Any young people who are doing apprenticeships or vocational training, or have joined the forces, or are already electricians, plumbers, chefs etc...dont worry, you don’t matter.

Why is Matt Hancock, the UK Government and the NHS not following the science? - Proof they are not following the science is shown in this video - the question is: Why Are They Doing This ? - watch the video

Impact of Corona: Minimal Impact of Corona restrictions: Criminal

Is the Guardian aware that there are lots of young people? And not all of them are students. Maybe it’d be a good idea to discuss them occasionally.

LancasterUni is charging student £17 per day for food when they quarantine. And £7 for a pick up laundry service that usually costs £5. The latter can be argued for. But £17 PER DAY? Disgusting.

They should demand their money back. It is a scam!

good

Sacrificing the young & healthy for the sick & old is not a moral position! Remember 'flattening the curve' - So NHS could cope. Yes, protect & shield the sick & old. Let everyone else get on with their lives! A disease with little/no impact on 99.04%

Whilst this is no laughing matter I love all the Post It messages in the windows. Liz x

Seriously, you should talk about the other young people. The ones already working, or training to be chefs, soldiers, electricians, mechanics etc.

I love that my son has gone to uni to start a new life and become independent, only to feel like a prisoner with breeze bricks to add to the ambiance of it. Government what are you thinking? tuitionfees reduce them. You should be ashamed.

Seriously? Anyone with more than one brain cell can figure out that the entire student experience has been turned on its head into an experience of complete misery. Unless you think no nightclubs/online lectures/housearrest etc etc are somehow a 'positive development' kbf

it is non existent return in usa

I think they witnessed a stage of history, and it would make some students hard to receive high-quality courses as before and get access to colleges' facilities...Although Unis have tried several methods, it still really hard. Perhaps Unis can give discounts to tuition fee?

The thieves and liars in London make us go & risk our lives so the criminals who own the building can get paid... about it really

The university of life ?

They've been there, like two days

I AM JESUS CHRIST AND I DO NOT SUPPORT RACISM !! DONALD TRUMP IS THE DEVIL.... Snake Trump...yyy

If I were a student I would ask for my money back

A year of wasted academic life!!

Always said Boris Johnson and Dominic Cummings were out to blame anyone but themselves for COVID19 and it's spread. Now it's our young people BorisJohnson PrimeMinister ToryShambles ToryLies TorySmokeAndMirrors

Angela Merkel says : 'Pile up the populations in URBAN AREAS to support land & rental speculation, mass trade & tourism, intensive agriculture.. it's CRIMINAL. Eveything must be rethought : spatial & town planning-tax evasion-direct & economic democracy-social ecology-education'

Interrupted getting wasted and laid.

Do you really need to ask? They’re all in lockdown.

Students at Cambridge are offered weekly covidtest and they pay the same fees as every other student. They will be able to go home easily. Unfair

It’s terrible. No fresher’s week, no parties, no concerts, online lectures. Universities should have been suspended for a year. Paying £9k + accommodation to be stuck in your room for a year is a disaster.

Guardian stop fear campaign challenge

Why does the UK persist with the 14-day quarantine period when other countries have radically reduced the figure? Two of my kids have already been off because of this, and it’s highly likely they’ll have to miss many more equivalent chunks of schooling soonish. Seems excessive.

LockdownNo are they having a laugh? locking them down is not funny, and the gruan appears to be rubbing it in, this scamdemic is determined to not just ruin existing livelihoods but future ones too. We need to stop this shit.

Can’t shag around and share a bong

LockdownNo

banned from socialising with anyone outside our flat of 6, paying 9 grand a year for online lectures stuck in a tiny room, no support from the uni, should i go on?

The fact that we pay to study in our bedroom

nice

Did UK officials ever ask students about their feelings and expectations? It seems The Guardian takes role and fills the space left by government.

That should read '' What is the impact on the rest of society now these opt out selfish party animals have landed'' ?

I imagine Corona isn't affecting university life at all. It's the the arbitrary, agenda-led legislation based on flawed & manipulated data that is having the effect. The most common symptom of C19 is no symptoms. EndCoronavirusAct

I have had enough of the 0 covid idiots. We need a stable and sustainable spread through the healthy population. You have had your experiment with containment - You Failed. Get out of the way and stop holding us back!

Surely students should be rebated some of the £9K they pay each year in fees? Or better still, switch to an accredited distance learning institution like the Open University (which is also accredited in the United States) - far better learning for a lower price!

❗❗WARNING❗❗

One hour face to face teaching per week. Can only use library that day.

I've just started my third year and have gone from two full days of face to face inclusive lectures to only half a day via Zoom and one face to face lecture which is two hours. I've found the lack of peer discussion hard, as we are instructed to mute as soon as we log on to

dralexcorcos Any thoughts?

Lowest levels of STDs.

good luck

I love telling my students in DVC of how Sir Issac Newton made use of his lockdown away from Plague and Uni. Colour wheel anyone? Fabulous.

Apart from my son losing his summer job and then unable to be financially independent with anxiety of his future. Unable to continue his course as not an online course. What a stupid article. Guardian you are really inadequate

This

good

After dropping my daughter at uni in Liverpool yesterday... not a lot!! Let them enjoy their time and enjoy their studies!!

Chlamydia is decreasing.

Well, it's in the books!

It's not the impact of Covid. It's the impact of Lockdown.

In my Own country is to kill Educational sector
