North Tyneside, Liverpool, County Durham, Cornwall and Hyndburn are among the areas which have seen the highest weekly increase in infections as coronavirus cases go up by a third in seven days

The UK is "definitely" experiencing a third wave of Covid infections - with more than 80 per cent of towns and cities in England recording a weekly rise in cases.
