EU does not want to lose British military firepower

The European Union should offer Britain “privileged third-party status” in defence and foreign policy cooperation after Brexit, the German defence minister, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, has said in a speech in London.

Why ever Europe decided to dissolve its own military cooperation in 2011 remains a mystery.

'Kramp-Karrenbauer said she would even like to see the UK’s involvement in the European fighter project FCAS.' This is the likely reason for this thinking. UK purchasing is probably important for the budgeting and RnD! This of course is lost if the UK strengthens ties with USA.

I think the Eurofighter project taught us that it's better to cooperate with the Americans on defence projects.

Why? The US is heavily in the EU trying to cause troubles.

At last! EU finally gives UK control of Brexit future as Von der Leyen makes shock moveTHE EU has admitted that it is “up to Britain” whether or not it seeks more time to negotiate an extension for trade agreement talks. 🤔 Under von der Leyen, the ministry in Germany, had placed orders with external consulting firms. In the course of the clarification, the mobile phone of the former minister and today's EU Commission President should also be evaluated. She has deleted her mobile phone data 👍 That is what the EU said all the time. Still, there will be no trade deal within 11 months. UK choice.
