lovearhyme Yeah. This one mostly. 😡

So where was the story from the comic TheGuardian about the cost to UK taxpayers, by the EU forcing the government to buy EU flags so EU sycophantic flagshaggers could salivate over?

Flag waving is the national pastime of hypocrites in many countries.

Assume they were all sourced from the far east?

They only costed £1000, but they outsourced it to a buddy.

First things first.

An outrageously huge amount of money which should be spent on health and education!😡

Ridiculous!

Who got a contract to make them?

All this flag buying just promotes dependency. If they want flags, they should use their own money. They can’t just rely on taxpayers to keep paying for their love of flags

I live in Dordrecht a city in The Netherlands . Flags are only flown on special occasions, but there is one flag that is always flying, yes you got it , it’s The Union Jack.

Is that all? Probably only paid for those 4 behind the Spaffer

peterjukes I still prefer the blue one with stars on!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

trace2367 Similar to Labour then.

£1 per dead uk COVID victim. Touching commemoration and so patriotic.

Good business.

Bog Roll ?

And you want to feed your children? Nah, flags first, worked for Hitler, can work for ToryCriminalsUnfitToGovern. Money well spent. Not.

Just another part of the problem. Though track and trace staff paid thousands per day to answer a few calls a lot worse in the grand ( or not so grand) scheme of things.

Incredible and obscene toriesmustgo

Just give them flag printed tissues to use. Save on the laundry bill. Laminate a passport sized picture of the Queen for their wallets so they have the full kit and of they pop.

This is sickening.

Who is doing his thinking for him now Cummings has gone......

Rose26891183 Yet they said they couldn’t afford to feed hungry children 🤔.

CoggleMaggie Soon to be collector items.

marjgold How much do they pay the person who arranges them so neatly? What a fucking joke!

Can we check if any of these tax payers money paid for flags ended up in Tory homes/offices, as we could see lots of flags during lockdown video interviews?

kawanabe_kyosai Bonkers

Sure sign of an insecure government and an even more insecure PM BorisJohnson

We will have to fork out much more when the Scots & NI leave the Union.

In the past what underpinned the flag and all it stands for was Honesty Humanity Integrity - standing up for those in the UK and the wider world who were vulnerable or facing persecution. Today it is difficult to think of any Government Minister with the values behind the flag.

How many kids would that have fed?

Made in China ones

I suppose?

Priorities, eh..... 🤔

…and spent an astonishing £59,000 on socks!

Anyone would think that johnson thinks the UK taxpayers should be funding all of this nonsense. He has his own private bank now

peterjukes What the hell are they doing with all those flags? Using them as loo roll during supermarket shortages?

We are the mods, we are the mods, we are, we are, we are the mods! 🛵🤔

peterjukes 'It accounts for 85% of union flag purchases over the past four years.' Made worse by the budget also coming from the ministry of defence? People must have had to make more to meet the demand. The gov need drug testing.

That seems like quite a lot though the ones in the picture look quite good

Are they going to make them into PPE masks?

*constant screaming intensifies*

Made in China?

Todays Union flags are tomorrows chip wrappers.

Which chum is charging that much for fucking flags?

So what? It’s the country’s flag.

But giving nurses a pay-rise is apparently too much.

Soon the blue will be obsolete💙💙💙
