This is from Edwin Morgan, from the health analysis and life events division at the ONS, commenting on today’s ONS report on excess deaths. Morgan said: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the first half of 2020 saw extraordinary increases in mortality rates across countries in Western Europe above the 2015 to 2019 average.
World beating excess deaths in England.
theAliceRoberts Apparent success eh?
ThatTimWalker World beating.
'excess deaths'?
When everyone that dies counts as a Corona death regardless of whether they have had it or not, we will have.
Help charities to staysafe with PPE from TheHopeRev visit;
theAliceRoberts It is important to distinguish between England and the rest of the Union where figures much better.
So From The ONS To Boris. What Happens?

'I know there will be many people looking now at our current success and beginning to wonder whether now is the time to go easy on those social distancing measures.' - Boris Johnson April 27th 2020

Including absent doctors putting covid on death certs. Huge story which journos ignore.
The graphs show that some weeks after the peak, cumulative excess deaths start to fall as a result of lower than average weekly deaths. England had its peak relatively late, so other countries see the benefit of this by the ONS's end June cut off, but England does not.
So BorisJohnson & MattHancock have killed more people, than any other European government, but remain in office! How?
ChrisStevenson1 It is important to note that England is recording deaths differently than other countries - it has no time limit on when a death is recorded as covid related. Most other countriess use 28 days. It will be interesting to see when those numbers are normalised.
One thing the government (and all) might have learnt by now is to look at what is happening across other countries and try not to make same mistakes. With regards 'second wave' - upskilling other medical professionals to assist those exhausted NHS colleagues needs to happen now.
Wow! I didn't know!
finally winning at something eh
Only extremely stupid idiots are still following the covid narrative. There is no pandemic. If there was a pandemic you would know several dead people, there would have been people down your street who died, family, friends, friends of friends. Most of us still don’t know anyone!
All those poor people who died because of lockdown and fear parroted by media giants like yourselves making them too scared to visit hospitals or even leave their homes in some cases. It's sad.
The ONS does statistics, the hospitals do the facts, and most deaths, 25k+ were in locked down care homes, bugger all to do with fucking covid
sturdyAlex I would be surprised if this wasn't the case. Given French excess deaths are much lower than ours for instance.
