A majority of British voters want the UK government to force social media sites to remove false information from their platforms, with misinformation proliferating on sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. A poll by Survation for the open data campaign Open Knowledge Foundation found 55% of people believed the government needed to “impose compulsory action on social media sites to prevent the spread of disinformation on their sites”.
Why give a reason of why they're so many deaths when they're black, and no reason at all when the whites die in countries where they're in the majority.?
Why Because state is not interested in treating black patients or something else
This virus thrives in highly populated regions. London has an African/Caribbean presence. Many work in health, care, social welfare ,councils, charities ,education, service sectors which require high client contact. These circumstances = high risk.
Continue cooking theories, we will neither be brainwashed nor be specimen for covid-19 vaccines.
'Black people' in the UK, admittedly. Black people in Malawi or other sunny lands are not so likely to die. That's because black people here are likely to be deficient in vitamin D. Take vitamin D supplements to survive the coronavirus pandemic
It could be a genetic issue related to the number of ACE2 protein receptors in the cell membranes in the lung. Some races may have more of them than others and this unfortunately is where C19 virus gains an entry. There was an early research paper on this in February.
VITAMIN D! Is it the whole answer, not likely but very important. The evidence regarding dark skin & flu very strong and significant. This doctor but others saying it as well:
This news report is stupid and misleading, it insults my intelligence 😑
Why haven’t they taken location into account? Much higher share of BAME in London/Birmingham than general population, so they should compare share of BAME in urban areas. If broken down by location, is there still a higher risk?
The UK has more deaths than the whole of Africa combined. Something here is not adding up!
No wonder some of the right wing politicians are happy to have a 'herd immunity' strategy.

What's the implication, that the NHS is racist?
Racist profiling against black people in the UK is not better than the racism against blacks in China! All these when UK is a world leader (second only to the USA ) in Covid deaths. Who knows, maybe black people are intentionally allowed to die in UK hospitals. KeepTheLockdown
AndrewSparrow Yeap, let's put some race spin on it. How very Graun.
In that case we'd like 4.2 times more benefit in order to improve our survival chances. bbcqt ThursdayThoughts
And a clinical study found that you are 10 times more likely to die from COVID if you are vitamin D deficient. The darker the skin the less efficiently the body produces vitamin D in exposure to sunlight. Why is this not being mentioned in the media?
Not the case in countries of their origin. Far fewer deaths against the infected, unlike here.
I doubt coz .. Black people has four blood GRP(A B AB and O) even white has that... Y will it happen that way
What is the missing link here? Poverty? Population Density? Genetic Predisposition? Cytokine Storms (in Black’s)? I am not understanding this right now. Help!
I believe there's a big link between vitamin D deficiency and covid fatality. Black people in the UK don't absorb enough sunlight so are very often deficienct in vitamin D.
This will not fly...!
Kindly look at our numbers as of 06 May '19
Probably due to deprivation as well
