The increase in cases comes as the Health Secretary Matt Hancock revealed that he was 'worried' that a second wave of coronavirus is 'starting to roll across Europe'

The UK's coronavirus death toll has risen by eight and the number of confirmed cases has remained stubbornly high - increasing by 744.The total number of positive cases stands at 304,695.
