Advertising breaks on UK television channels could get longer and more frequent as part of a review of broadcasting rules by regulator Ofcom.
The regulator pledged to "listen to different views and examine what TV viewers say" before any changes.current rules state The channels can run advertising breaks of up to eight minutes per hour during prime time periods of 18:00-23:00 and 07:00-09:00.

I don’t watch any programmes with ads live, I record them and ff through the ads. BBC shouldn’t show ads as we pay a tv licence so like paying a subscription for ad free viewing
No. After giving up on TV in America due to the amount of adverts, I'd hate to see UK TV go the same way.

Won’t watch ads … there used to be some classic ones in the past…. Not sure the London centric advertising ‘experts’ have a sense of humour or indeed know what the average UK family looks like.
