Commuters are being warned of fresh disruption to rail, bus and tube services due to planned strike by train by union members in the long-running row over pay and conditions.

London Underground and bus strikes are set to cripple the Capital this month whilst national rail strikes will bring the UK to a standstill and coincide with another busy weekends of football.

Timetables will be published on August 9, but passengers are being advised to follow the latest travel advice, check before they set off, and allow extra time for their journey. Further strike action by the Rail, Maritime and Transport union, the Transport Salaried Staffs Association and Unite has been announced for August 18.

Great. Well done everybody. 😀

Good luck to them.. shout out to Mick Lynch 🙌

SACK THEM.. taking the piss now

All part of the climate change, covid ploy.

I haven't seen one actual real life person say they have an issue with the strikes. I'd happily be slightly inconvenienced if it meant helping my fellow man. Its all media inflammatory bollocks.

I agree workers should be paid a fair wage. But bigger picture re economy needs to be taken into account and expectations managed. Also because of Covid and Strikes more people are finding they can work remotely or don't need public transport. Too many stop using - Job losses

Ukrainian medical students start training at one of UK's top universities after fleeing war-torn countrySince Russia invaded Ukraine back in February, many of the country's hospitals and clinics have been damaged or destroyed. In one attack, a maternity hospital was hit, killing several people. Why don’t they stay and fight for their country? Oh that’s right, equality doesn’t exist when it comes to war and death. I wonder if the Ukrainian medical students will also be burdened with the 50k+ debt from rip off tuition fees or will they be given freebies.
