Rail strikes are set to cause travel misery for thousands – here are all of the walk-outs planned for July and August

RMT chief Mick Lynch told LBC he was "unhappy" the action was necessary but said workers had been forced into it.The tube and train strike in June saw 80% of services disrupted.July 27Rail, Maritime and Transport union members at train firms and Network Rail will walk out for 24 hours on July 27, after the union’s bosses rejected a new 4% pay rise backdated to January.

It would have provided another 2% rise next year and the same again if "modernisation milestones" were hit.July 30Members of Aslef at Arriva Rail London, Chiltern Railways, Greater Anglia, Great Western, Hull Trains, LNER, Southeastern and West Midlands Trains will walk out, with drivers on Greater Anglia also striking onFurther train and tube strikes have already been scheduled for the rest of the summer.

Avanti West Coast, c2c, East Midlands Railway, CrossCountry, Great Western Railway, LNER, and Southeastern will take industrial action in a dispute over jobs, pay and conditions. Thousands of members including station staff, operational, maintenance, supervisory and management staff, will take part in industrial action.

RMT also announced that London Underground staff will walk out on August 19 in the row over jobs and pensions., RMT held rail strikes across the country on June 21st, 23rd and 25th.The RMT strike, which included Network Rail and 13 train operators, affected lines including the C2C, Chiltern Railways, East Midlands Railway, Great Anglia and more. Around 80% of services were disrupted for six days.
