Former President Donald Trump called the Capitol riot ‘the greatest movement in the history of our country’ on Thursday called the Capitol riot ‘the greatest movement in the history of our Country’ – shortly before the January 6 committee held its first public hearing.

Trump attacked the panel hours before its members started the first of at least three public hearings set to take place over the next week. The riot left seven dead, including three police officers and four protestors. More than 100 police officers were injured.
