Trudeau accused of glossing over 'brownface' storm with black person pic

JUSTIN Trudeau has been accused of trying to gloss over his "brownface" race storm with a photo of himself smiling at a black person.

Confessing to a "massive blind spot" in his thinking, Trudeau said he was “deeply sorry” - adding: "It was a dumb thing to do."But in another apparent gaffe, the Liberal leader has changed his Twitter profile picture to show him smiling at a black person. "Is it a demonstration that he’s left his racist past behind, or is his use of people of colour as political props evidence that he hasn’t changed very much?"Footage published by Global News last week showed Trudeau wearing dark make-up on his face and arms while he stuck his tongue out.

The PM, who champions diversity and multiculturalism, was pictured dressed up as a black man at the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, an elite high school in Quebec, which he attended.
