A woman has tragically been found dead on a Leeds street this afternoon after emergency services flooded the scene.
Police were called to a concern for safety of a woman in a car in the Bramley area of the city. Officers attended Warrel's Mount after the call shortly before 3.30pm today . Residents reported multiple ambulances, the fire service and police vehicles at the scene. A woman was found unresponsive in a vehicle and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.Police have reassured local residents that they do not believe the woman's death to be suspicious at this time. A report will be prepared by emergency services for the coroner.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Shortly before 3.30pm, police were called to a report of the concern for safety of a woman in a car on Warrels Mount, Leeds. Emergency services attended and found a woman unresponsive and was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later. "Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances, but the matter is not believed to be suspicious at this time. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
