Pressure is growing from backbenchers for ministers to resign in protest over Prime Minister’s leadership

Rumours have been circulating that a rebel group from the 2019 MPs are due to meet in an attempt to coordinate plans to oust Mr Johnson Furious Tory MPs have attacked the “lack of leadership” shown by members of the Cabinet by refusing to resign and force Boris Johnson out of office.

Mr Johnson provoked further anger among backbenchers on Monday when he claimed the confidence vote he survived three weeks ago hadOne veteran Tory took aim at the likes of Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid who are believed to have ambitions to replace the Prime Minister.
