A tornado is forecast and it could hit Leeds on Sunday night with risks of 60mph winds battering the city.
It has warned that Leeds could be bettered by a couple of tornadoes, hail to 30-40mm diameter, wind gusts of up to 60mp and CG lightning. This comes as Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms today, with the warning in place for Leeds between 2pm and 9pm on Sunday, June 25. The tornado watch has said the severe weather could hit most of the North of England as well as other parts of the country and Scotland.
