Tories slammed over 'fake fact-checking Twitter account' during election debate

has been accused of misleading members of the public, after its official Twitter account was renamed ‘factcheckUK’ during the live leader’s debate tonight.

Although the Twitter handle remained @CCHQ press, all other branding was changed to make it appear as though the account was an official factchecking outlet, which went on to offer commentary on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s statements.
