The event will see a theatre piece that will feature 1,300 performers and 500 horses galloping through history in four acts: from the reign of Queen Elizabeth I through to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, culminating with a grand finale.
Dame Mirren will play Queen Elizabeth I, while Djalili will introduce the cast of 'Queen's Players' as The Herald – who will lead viewers through time by linking the acts together and narrating the stories, while commenting on"absurd" moments in history. The theatre piece will be accompanied by various military and equestrian displays from countries around the world including: Azerbaijan, India, Oman, France, Norway, Switzerland and Trinidad & Tobago.
