The child, who is under two, was rushed to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children after the attack at her home in the Hatherley area of Cheltenham just before 6pm on Sunday. The pet dog has been seized and is being held in secure kennels while police investigate. It’s since been confirmed that the dog is not a banned breed.
