This is a rare moment of optimism, when parliament can avert a car-crash Brexit. MPs must use their indicative votes wisely, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Freedland

There have been so many days of dread in Brexit, we may not be able to recognise a day of hope when we see one. Yet today could and should be just such a day.

EEC good, EU bad.

What we have been observing in Parliament for some time is that a group of members supported by financial and economic lobbies from the EU and Britain and from some media is trying in every way to overthrow the will of the people and British democracy...!!! Coup Brexit

Turn back cos the Brexit taking back control bridge has fucking collapsed

What we have been observing in Parliament for some time is that a group of members supported by financial and economic lobbies from the EU and Britain and from some media is trying in every way to overthrow the will of the people and British democracy...!!! Brexit

They should deliver what the public voted for.

Remoaner globalists should respect the vote which occurred 2 years ago.

What we have been observing in MPs for some tim is that a group of members supported by financial and economic lobbies from the EU and Britain and from some media is trying in every way to overthrow the will of the people and British democracy...!!! Brexit

Ignore the party whip and vote with their conscience . Now is the time to stand up for what they believe

There is NO way they will risk their seats going against their voters. Delay is all thats left to kill Brexit, their goal .They are pathetic. Hitler would have steamrollered this lots of pricks.

They should stand up for their constituents, you know, the folks who vote for them, who have changed their mind or been consistent in that Brexit is a disaster and needs to be revoked. Resign and retain self respect if whips won’t let you do the right thing.

Continue to fight for the clear majority now... a lot has changed over the past few years... most people want to Remain now

Resign

Remind themselves that the only way of knowing what people voted for is to look at the campaign promises of Team Brexit.
