At a time when every week’s weird weather seems to bring fresh news of how manmade climate change could destroy everything we know and love, it seems almost trite to point out that the challenges we face as a society are vast and complex. Clearly, the next generation will need to be equipped to tackle them: but assuming that “tackling them” means “preventing them” it is unclear where, if anywhere, they might acquire the relevant skills.

Needs to be godly. Politics just doesn't answer the big questions or give the best solutions. It can simply make enemies of people who have different politics. Whereas godliness is about truth and unifies against the enemy of all our souls, the one who sows lies&hatred of people.

Unless it’s politics you disagree with, obviously. Then it’s far right indoctrination and a damning indictment of our fascist system and our Owen is going to thcweam and thcweam until he’s sick!

Education should be objective. Period.
