This time of year is synonymous with chocolate and other treats, but as ever, it's important to enjoy these in moderation.

The Easter weekend is nearly upon us, meaning many will be clocking off from work in anticipation of a bank holiday full of exciting plans with loved ones.

The advice was shared on the Fast 800 Instagram account, a style of eating made popular by Michael Mosley and his wife, Dr Clare Bailey. This diet begins with a rapid weight loss phase lasting for two to 12 weeks, during which a person eats a daily calorie limit of 800. It's also important not to be hard on yourself, as the caption highlights: "If you do slip up, put it down to experience, and try again the next day. There’s no such thing as a big mistake: losing weight and staying healthy is about the small steps."

Clare's second piece of advice was to try and limit your alcohol intake, making sure you drink plenty of water. Previous advice on the Fast 800 blog suggests taking a more mindful approach to drinking, slowing down and alternating alcoholic beverages with a glass of water.
