From blackmail to bullying, those with experience of the inside unpick the hard-hitting BBC drama.

There were 267 prisoner-on-prisoner assaults per 1,000 prisoners in England and Wales in 2019-20 - double the number in 2012-13, according to the Ministry of Justice .

The other major storyline is that of prison officer Eric McNally, played by Stephen Graham, who is blackmailed into smuggling weapons and drugs into HMP Craigmore in order to save his son from thugs in another prison. "You can divide and conquer. We had something similar at Wormwood Scrubs and basically we took them all down the seg, separated from the rest of the jail, and eventually shipped them to all corners of the UK."

Time is brilliant, please watch.

Totally off the mark , was good but there is no “daddy’s” and 80% are not British

Having worked in that sector it is the most accurate portrayal I have seen on TV

I’m guessing everyone will have a different experience in prison, it could be realistic for some. All about “Time”, with events unfolding in few hours, you have to stretch it out in years, good days and bad, It was a gripping drama though. I had to watch all episodes in one go.

It is probably the most realistic prison drama I’ve seen.

With the virus here it’s not anything like real in fact it’s shit

A few bits dramatised and not completely accurate but in the main, it’s very realistic and true to life in U.K. prisons.

The way we run our prisons is outdated and rooted in Victorian times. It's probably worse than this

I actually work in a Prison. I would say 75% of this happens. Believe me when I say staff smuggle drugs / Phones. The kettle with hot water and sugar also happens. Prisons are S&T holes

Wouldn’t like to find out personally to be honest 🤣 a dramatised version, whether realistic or not is enough for me 😆 fantastic programme and excellent cast!

Porridge with a twist!!!

It does happen in prison. Especially now majority of them are way overfilled due to covid and cost. Then there's not enough staff to see everything that goes on.

What a ferkin stupid question for the broadcaster to make. Just say it is or it isn’t. Worse than the Daily Mail.

TimeBBC was an excellent drama all great actors.

Sounds very good! I need to check this out!

Second man arrested after BBC reporter was 'hounded' at anti-lockdown demoA SECOND man has been arrested after BBC journalist Nicholas Watt was hounded and chased by anti-lockdown protesters near Downing Street. The Metropolitan Police said a 62-year-old man was arrested… Good! However, how many people hounding that teacher outside Batley Grammar School have been arrested? Is the number zero? Perhaps if the bbc reported the truth it wouldn’t happen of course, the press dont chase people down the road and harass them and crowd them. A taste of their own medicine and they whine

US Covid deaths dip below 300 a day for first time since March 2020Approaching milestone of 150 million Americans vaccinated but Biden falls short of target to send 80m doses abroad Let's hope that enough people vaccinate very soon because in UK, the Delta variant is spreading quickly. And, 45% of deaths were fully vaccinated people, even. Can't imagine if no one was vaccinated, would be even swifter and more devastating.
