One week into Black Music Month and Tiffany Haddish is set to release her new song, Woman Up, on Friday, May 7.
The host proceeded to pose the question about what would happen if it becomes a bonafide hit, which prompted a big beaming smile: 'Wow, if it's a hit song it would be a blessing. I would be very happy.' 'I am beyond excited to share this incredible song Woman Up with the world,' the Girls Trip actress said in a statement with the publication. 'Collaborating with legendary songwriter Diane Warren has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. The essence of this song accurately describes how I get myself motivated on a daily basis and pick myself up when I need it most.'
While many of those artists are considered pop stars, Warren's reach across genres also includes country, rock and dance such songs as How Do I Live , I Don't Want to Miss A Thing , Music Of My Hear I Turn to You , and most recently Say Don't Go , among others. U.S. President Jimmy Carter has the distinction of naming June Black Music Month in honor of Black musicians who have contributed to American culture through their music.
