Three suffer head injuries in alleged garden assault by two armed men

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following an overnight assault in Newtownards. “It was alleged a number of men, who were armed with weapons, entered the garden of a property and assaulted two men and a woman.“Thankfully, the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. However, this was a terrifying ordeal for those involved."

“We are especially keen to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Meadow Close area between 10pm and shortly before 10.20pm to make contact with police.”
