I see figures of child poverty. What are figures for their parents? Some don’t look after their children despite having the means.Their habits/choices can cause their child’s poverty despite an income. Giving those parents more money will not benefit the kids or change situation.
And meanwhile the government whines on about social mobility! Give these children a chance.

Not sure about Britain but here in the US record employment means lots of people under 25 works 15 hours per week at Target, then another 15 hrs at McDonalds, then babysit three nights a week none of which provide, benefits, vacation time, or health insurance.
