Grant Shapps plans to BAN overtime for striking rail staffStriking rail workers may find themselves banned from overtime under plans being drawn up by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps. 'Millitant left unions' fighting for fair pay and conditions...... Grant why not just do what P&O did? Sack the lot of them and get some outsourced, out of country, train drivers ... from, say, India, Philippines, Afghanistan, Puerto Rico ... you know anywhere really ... How is that going to help if there are no staff to fill the shifts when you have banned overtime .

Rail strikes: Plans to allow agency workers to fill in for striking staff condemned as 'reckless'Labour said the government should be trying to 'act like firefighters rather than arsonists' as proposals floated by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps stoked union anger ahead of a major rail walk-out this month. Strikes don’t affect government, they affect the working class and school children . I have no sympathy with the cause The Unions and Labour are incorrect in stating the Government are undermining the right to strike. Workers will always have that right. However the effectiveness of those strikes and the misery they bring should thankfully be undermined. Interesting analogy, given that Labour screwed the actual firefighters when they were last in power 🤔
