THOUSANDS of people were heard chanting “f*** the King” during a rock band’s set at Glastonbury.

On Friday, the lead singer of British band Idles, Joe Talbot, used their performance as an opportunity to raise awareness of various issues in British politics.

However, the moment most likely to enrage supporters of the monarchy came when Talbot encouraged the audience to help viewers at home learn “the new British national anthem”.He then shouted “F*** the King” which was instantly echoed back by thousands of people in the audience. The lyrics of the song read: “I don’t care about the next James Bond.

Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
