skynews both my disabled parents are on holiday in Florida, they booked flights only with Thomas cook - they are so worried as we are as a family - just hoping and praying they will be protected and fly home in a couple of days

This is what happens when capitalism fails and when the banks who's fraud caused the global ceash are bailed out and austerity is imposed to pay for it.

What annoys me is how ThomasCook lied to customers on twitter and made it out that it was business as usual. Not how you run a business.

We’re in Orlando!! I’m so glad that rescue flights are being provided, we can enjoy the rest of our holiday!! I just hope my bank refund the £4000 I spent on flights for Feb - I booked to fly my family inc parents to orlando VirginAtlantic doubled prices for Feb so we can’t go

While this is sad for those effected, the company was doomed at some point. Need £600m to keep going and 1.5bn in debt with a yearly turnover of £9bn. All comes down to poor management.

Stuck in Corfu tried no and it just has a recorded message this number is inactive great!!

It is a sad day for the travel industry all those poor people who have lost there jobs.... such a shame

If we don’t get these people who still book thru travel agents home, surely that would be just be natural selection at work? 🤞🏻
