That’s all well and good but Over population will be the factor- less people = less pollution = construction = disease + more food and houses 🤨

Shock

We're all doomed, whatever we do !

No but it’ll help slow climate change down a lot.... Vegetables need cooking and fuel electric from oil but fruits don’t eat only fruits fruitarians this will save the planet

eat babies

Both arguments should go hand in hand. Less people more plants.

Yes baby yes

Let's just all collectively stop eating. 💯% guaranteed to save the planet.

I,ve been saying this with David Attenborough and others saying the same for years !

Wyn Evans, from the same NFU Cymru that is scaremongering about transport emissions, talking about what a boon it is to start shipping millions of pounds worth of British lamb to Japan (also India?).

Palm oil is encouraged in this diet. Palm oil production is destroying forests!!!!! Someone is going to make a lot of dollars with this quacky ‘diet’.

It’s cute that the NFU is so concerned with transport emissions, given British farmers merrily export live veal calves all over the place, and that we’ve just signed a huge export deal to send British lamb to Japan. Or are we saying only incoming transport emissions are bad?

Eat more, bang less.

'Richard Vernon says population reduction would do more for the planet than a change of diet' Alright, let's aim for a really, really hard Brexit then.

A plant based diet will only make it worse

We have to get off fossil fuels and do things to remove the methane and CO2 from the atmosphere. We should not get distracted by less direct options.

Save the planet, stop eating and listen to us

The planet will be fine, or at least recover. The same may not be true of humans.

Well obviously because well all die of boredom

Besides, beef production is already carbon neutral in Australia and is expected to sequester carbon soon:

It still helps the planet. My recycling isn't going to save the planet either but I'm still going to do it.

It will save some of the planet’s inhabitants.

Turning stale bread into ice-cream won’t save the world – but won’t do any harm, eitherA small but steady movement of chefs is already having a go at turning kitchen waste into something new, the most appealing of which is savoury ice-cream I always imagined that turning stale bread into ice-cream must occupy some kind of middle ground between saving the world and being actively harmful, but it's nice to have it confirmed by a leading national newspaper Are you sure? 😂😂😂 Get Harry & Megs to taste it & smile. That’d gain world-wide popularity for it!

Human diet is causing 'catastrophic' damage to the planetIf we all adopted a 'Planetary Diet' - halving our intake of meat and doubling our intake of vegetables - fewer people would die of diet-related diseases and starvation, UK scientists say. These are diseconomies of scale; thin the monkeys out a bit for best results, a 95% culling would be about right.

Scrapping of nuclear plant should see UK renewables filling the void | LettersLetters: Readers respond to news that Hitachi has pulled out of the proposed Wylva nuclear power plant in Anglesey I am very much in favour of renewable energy .. but on a windless night in a hot summer with millions of fans going what is going to take up the slack. You can’t just switch a station on... there needs to be something running in the background to take the slack! ... which never happens and won’t happen. Coal always replaces nuclear.
