George Floyd: The personal cost of filming police brutality

The first amendment of the US constitution protects the right of Americans to film police.

Like Mr Floyd, Mr Garner repeatedly told the officers,"I can't breathe" - words that became a rallying cry for Black Lives Matter protesters six years ago and again in the wake of Mr Floyd's death. Mr Santana was casually walking to work in Charleston, South Carolina when he came across a peculiar sight: an altercation between Michael Slager, a white police officer, and Walter Scott, an unarmed black man.

In the report, Slager said he feared for his life after Mr Scott took his Taser. But the video showed Slager's account to be false. "Silence equals complicity. I chose my side and I will continue fighting for a better society, fearless of any consequence," he said.

now show Hackney

Are you running the other story from Hackney today ? 🤔🤔🤔

if the BBC only want to show half the story then it time to stop funding them. They're not showing a full story, anything to push their racist attitude, not mention of Police Officers who have been murdered or attacked or even what the whole circumstance of the situation.

We are all at risk from the BBC: Unlike other Media organisations it has access to our financial details whether or not we are interested in the services it offers. Would you trust your details to an organisation driven by identity politics? Stay safe cancel your TVLicence

Filming?

Be strong and tell the truth.

Imagine the cost of not? Chauvin wouldn't have even been caught.

Despite what the media say there is no actual evidence that racism played a part in the death of George Floyd.
