Richard Harrington resigned just moments before voting against the government to allow MPs to debate Brexit alternatives.

Jeremy Corbyn, who withdrew his own amendment calling for time to debate the alternatives, congratulated the House on passing the second and called the government's Brexit process an"abject failure".

A spokesman added:"It is disappointing to see this amendment pass, as the Government made a clear commitment to provide a process to find a majority in Parliament for a way forward this week. It warned MPs that if a longer extension is required it would mean the UK will have to hold elections for members of the European Parliament.

Arlene Foster, leader of the DUP, earlier confirmed their position on the deal had not changed, and they would not be offering the government support.

This woman is miraculous! The country does not deserve her. She has more guts than the rest of the UK Parliament together. Why she has not quit remains a mystery.

500 Remain mps will never place us beyond EU jurisdiction. Time for a general election and a clear out.

From the EU to the UK

From over the pond... I support your decision. But.. After the vote you lost control of your voice in the EU. The EU has all the power over your future relationship. You’re starting to resemble the US Democratic Party.

This is total treachery against the people and democracy, and they've not been held to account by the equally treacherous MSM.

Get out theresa

It's going to be catastrophic if we don't leave the e.u. Worse than any no deal could ever be. No deal would atleast be manageable but ending democracy, well that would be fatal.

How many more?

“To lose one Minister may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose two looks like carelessness.” But losing three? Time to resign Prime Minister!

Well she lost the plot a long time ago so it’s no surprise

She is struggling badly in an effort to hold onto power and prestige. She just cannot give up, she has to hold on to the last ditch effort.

Dominos. When will May realise that her days are numbered. Crack those whips. The deal is shit

They didn't take control of anything. Poundland thatcher gave it to them. She's a disgrace & must resign.
