Lammy's analysis is fit for the dustbin. Sentencing is based on the offence and a range of mitigating and aggravating circumstances should as previous convictions and the use or threat of using a weapon. Without accounting for these factors, his analysis is chip paper.

'...black Caribbean pupils are about three and a half times more likely to be permanently excluded from state schools than all students.' That does not happen by accident or design. It is ppl who already have mental or behavioural issues. Not recognised early, then it is 📉

Most are also from single parent homes where there are no appropriate, male role models. Sadly prevelant among BME communities. If that is because judges are sending BME kids to jail for offences that white kids don't get sent to jail for then that is very wrong. However if they are in prison for committing crime then they don't deserve special consideration for being BME if they did the crime
