A gardening expert has shared the one kitchen scrap you can use to have the most beautiful and blooming roses in your garden. As summer comes up, many green-thumbed individuals are looking forward to making their gardens as pretty as possible, reports the Express.
Banana peels contain potassium which is important in helping flowers get the nutrients they need and improve the quality of blooms they provide. In summer, it is crucial to make sure plants are getting enough potassium as it also supports their water intake and keeps them hydrated in drier conditions.
You should make sure to not use more than three banana peels per envelope. The expert said: "These crisp, black, dried peels are easily broken by crushing them with your hands into several pieces of paper. The crushed peels are stored in a sealed envelope and marked with the date." Dr Plasz has credited this simple banana peel fertiliser for helping him grow magnificent rose blooms, where he has even won flower competitions due to his stunning and healthy flowers.
