Holy feck. The penny just dropped at the Guardian.

The only "point" Trump made was a ten-year old's understanding of "me". He and his party are globalists, the USA IS the globalist. All trump did was appeal to his racist, nationalistic base..no more than that.

It's probably not the point he thought he was making though, that would require an actual understanding of the topic at hand, and not just a list of buzzwords written in large friendly letters on the paper in front of him.
