THE Sun urges our fantastic readers today to join a “Jabs Army” of volunteers to help get millions of Brits vaccinated rapidly against Covid.
But more than 50,000 Steward Volunteers will be needed via the NHS Volunteer Responder Programme to help them run smoothly and keep people safe.Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the new “Jabs Army” of vax helpers will help consign killer Covid to the dustbin of history. Services will be opening in the coming days and weeks, with different areas up and running at different times, so you might not be required on site for some weeks. Not everyone who signs up will need to be called upon.
They will guide people on site to make sure the vaccination process runs as safely and efficiently as possible. You only need to commit to two six-hour shifts per month at a vaccination service near you and no prior experience or qualifications are required.
