For the latest edition of the Daily Record's weekly series highlighting Scotland's must-see towns and villages, we have chosen the amazing island of Kerrera in the Inner Hebrides.The island of Kerrera is home to the Kerrera Tea Garden and Bunkhouse, is the perfect little spot for a bite to eatAlthough it might not feel like it right now with the chilly temperatures around the country, spring has finally sprung in Scotland.somewhere and make the most of the new season.

As if you need any further reason to plan a trip to Kerrera, the island was named"one of the best places to live"earlier this month. The newspaper praised it for being"as picturesque as it is practical", and singled out its Waypoint restaurant and bar. Kerrera includes a circular walking trail that will guide you all around the island, taking in its most incredible and tranquil views. The best part is that it begins and ends at the island's ferry port, so you can easily head back to the mainland once you're done.In terms of landmarks on Kerrera, Gylen Castle should be your first destination. Dating back to the 16th century, the ruined castle was constructed by Clan MacDougall.
