The Queen has reportedly banned Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis from bringing an item to the dinner table. Former MP Gyles Brandreth said that the Queen enjoys "formal" meals and that eating with your mouth full is a definite no-no.
Brandreth revealed all during an interview on ITV's This Morning. he said: “The Queen is my role model in all things. One of the things she won’t allow at the table with her grandchildren and indeed her great-grandchildren is mobile phones at mealtimes. “She likes a formal, and I too like a fairly formal meal. It doesn’t mean to say you have to have a napkin. But you do have to sit at the table nicely and you certainly mustn’t eat with your mouth open!”It comes after it emerged garlic is banned at Buckingham Palace. Darren McGrady, who served as royal chef at Buckingham Palace for almost 15 years.
Speaking to RecipesPlus, Darren said: “There will never be garlic on the Queen’s menu." He said: “We can never serve anything with garlic or too much onions. "We also couldn't serve meat that was rare, as she liked her meat more well done." During her 2018 MasterChef appearance, the Duchess of Cornwall was asked about what foods you wouldn’t see at a royal reception.
