From boiling the kettle for your morning tea to decorating a Christmas tree, we thrive on rituals. No wonder we feel a little lost right now newyearseve

It’s that strange, otherworldly time of year, when the days bleed into one another. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dali dreamed up his molten clocks during Betwixtmas, that run of days between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. You can’t quite remember what day it is, or even how many days ago Christmas was – yet realising that it is ‘next year’ very soon seems baffling.

I’m pretty sure people aren’t lost, we’ve been in lockdown since March time. The only thing I need is a coffee, as some people say a coffee keeps the doctor awake. Anyways I hope everyone has a lovely new year and all the best.

Speak for yourself. Some of us hate rituals with a passion.

yep

Its 1 year. Whats so bad about. New year will be waiting next year like every other year. Not the same as Christmas. And anyway when it comes to life or death, I dont think rituals are that important. Of course the telegraph priorities are backwards as usual

How can I be lost I’ve not left the fucking house for months 🤣🤣

Very true

Human, you are struggling and struggling hard in life towards your Maker, struggling in different stages and then finally you will meet Him. (Quran 94:6)
