Digital maps might be more practical in the 21st century, but the long tradition of cartography is magical

How are people supposed to navigate on mountains? Google maps don't even show the mountains!

Ortelius and Plans of Paris are both currently on show durhamcathedral as part of the ‘Mapping the World’ exhibition in Open Treasure along side other examples of cartography from the Cathedral’s collection -

Great shame.😩

Such a pity no one thought to make a map for human behaviour. It seems all religious texts have failed.

We can't lose paper maps. There's waaaaaaaay too many areas that don't have wifi. How would people in the forest or other rural areas find their way. People without internet are still people, apparently they just don't matter
