We need a public register to show which doctors are in the pay of industry – or more patients will suffer, says author and broadcaster Margaret McCartney

It was never “just women’s problems”. After decades of having their suffering dismissed, many patients will have been relieved about the publication of the Independent Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Review yesterday.

Shouldn't you declare your own funding from Gates Foundation and the Govt to push your pro-pharma covid fake news? And why not cover Big Pharma's funding to Whitty, Vallance, the UK Vaccine Alliance board, MHRA, etc?

From the experience of seeing the workings of coroner court inquest and witness to a coroner report, in a case where mesh was mentioned. Would be of interest if mesh in part is recorded, scale of and is there as such a flagged up mechanism if patterns appear?

Superb article thank you or writing so eloquently. Mesh is like a car crash in the pelvis, yet too many studies show it to be a favourable treatment option. If we could look up research author ties to industry, it would make life so much easier to criticise biased 'evidence'

“It's never just women’s problems” This is such an important article. It's exhausting fighting for our right to be taken seriously - add to that the risks when doctors conveniently do not listen - it's infuriating!
