The nightmare that is 2020 is only halfway done, are these the worst days of our lives? | Brigid Delaney

Remember New Year’s Eve 2019? As the clock struck midnight and you toasted 2020 with warm champagne, maybe you were excited about the year ahead: an overseas holiday, a new job, a university course, a wedding, elective surgery, getting your driver’s license. Whatever you planned probably hasn’t happened.

We must stop divisive narrative if we are ever to bring harmony back to our nation - and that starts with the Guardian who have forgotten about the working classes and have become a stuck record for Orwellian principles.

Almost as horrific as when New Labour got in. That awfulness went on for a few years. Covid 19 is likely to be as bad.

My bemused mother who’s 80 would beg to differ . She can recall relatives dying of influenza , pneumonia, Kidney failure , TB , Diphtheria, Now treatable Cancers , smog , and The Blitz ... all within living memory ,are 80 year olds not part of society now ?

Yes.

The Guardian was founded in 1821 by John Edward Taylor who traded in cotton produced by the slaves of the American south. Ban the Guardian for historic slave links!

Yes they most certainly are.

And one hesitates to mention the revelation that the Guardian was born out of a commitment to slavery!

And on top of that, all the usual suspects causing mayhem and vandalism in the streets.

...nah...we still have the elections in November and no matter who wins 2020 still already won

Err those who lived through blitz, World War Two might beg to differ

The Earth has had it with us. And the ones in charge are gladly running us toward a cliff, and most are ok with it.
