The art world equivalent of LFW officially begins this week, with Frieze London and PAD Art and Design Fairs taking over the city. With that, it's time to get your hands on a future masterpiece.

The finest, most valuable gemstones are also the rarest, which can make things particularly challenging when one needs a matching pair for earrings. Hemmerle took its time to find two natural pearls of similar size for these earrings – and what size, with each one more than 14 carats in weight. The first is greyish-brown with purple and green overtones, while the other is brownish-cream.

Jewellery expert Valery Demure has an eye for design. The French-born, London-based curator and retailer founded Objet d'Emotion to celebrate women from around the world who are creating spectacular jewellery. Ioanna Souflia is a talented young designer who counterbalances sculptural silhouettes and a restrained colour palette that recalls the classicism of her native Greece.
