The most popular and unpopular GP practices across Nottingham

A survey of patients at GP practices has revealed the most popular and unpopular surgeries across Nottingham. Thousands of questionnaire forms were given out at surgeries across the city for the GP Patient Survey 2022.

A total of 14,840 were returned and its findings were published on Tuesday, July 12. In the survey patients are asked about a range of topics, such as the helpfulness of staff, making appointments and out-of-hours services. Patients were also asked about their overall experience at their surgery, with available answers ranging from 'very poor' to 'very good'. Welbeck Surgery, situated in Sherwood, scored the highest in that regard, receiving an approval rating of 93 percent.Sherwood excelled as an area, with Sherrington Park Medical Practice and Tudor House Medical Practice making the top three in Nottingham's boundaries.

The practice, which recently took on an additional 2,500 patients from the now closed Springfield Medical Centre, said it was "working hard" to improve patient experience. Dr Oke pointed to a £200,000 investment into the surgery and said a new phone system had been implemented earlier this year. "We want our patients to have a positive experience when they use our services, and hopefully they will start to feel the benefit of our continued investment," said the GP.
