Bradley and Matthew Marshall were once teased for being poor, but now they make millions from gaming Meet the Manchester twins in with a chance of being crowned Call of Duty world champions

"I remember we didn't have any internet so we were using our grandad's next door to play," laughs Matthew - better known in the CoD scene as Skrapz."We loved playing Call of Duty, it's what we did to stay off the streets and out of trouble, which was hard to do where we're from."

When Matthew and brother Bradley did manage to get online they would play for money late at night against American players to perfect their skills. In the end grandad cut them off and they"begged" their mum to set them up on the internet, but she couldn't always pay for it. "We'd have to wait a week sometimes until payday for it to come back on so we could play - but she always made ends meet."

The twins say they'd never have been able to become professional Call of Duty players without the support of their mum. "She always made sure things were right with us and when my dad wasn't there, she played both roles," says Matthew.

BBC you are truly awful.

Ppl hating just because they get paid for doing their hobby

They have sad eyes. Chin up, lads, you're rich!

Think, what you like but this is a very sad indication on how life is progressing

Gammon says “ReeeeeeeeeEeeEEE!!!!!”

Now we’re sucking diesel, fella!

I'd rather be poor than be a CoD player. Some of us do have standards you know.

Will someone please explain to me like I was in kindergarten why this is news and why it is receiving top billing. This is totally irrelevant.

Weren't poor if they had a console to play games on.

Actually, that money should be seized from their accounts and redistributed to thousands to free them from starvation, it wont be long until the capitalist west is forced to look into the mirror and see the darkness that has consumed them, you can only ignore yourself for so long

When poverty and inequality exist in a world unparalleled by any other point in history, money is wasted on pointless stuff like this, that money would be better off lifting hundreds out of poverty than on this, truly we are living in the modern Weimar

I don't know who he is but don't send that man there. It is entirely possible for him to be both a whistleblower and to have tried to blackmail his company. Whilst it looks bad are we now saying the courts in Monaco are corrupt and he won’t get a fair trial.
