Former plans included a music and arts space at The Lamb in Church Street - but the proposals will now focus solely on accommodation 🏚️

Latest plans to transform the former venue which thrived in the 80s and 90s, show approval is now sought for the sole purpose of residential use, meanwhile plans for an art gallery, music venue and co-working space have been dropped., was previously given the green light for a 12 unit house in multiple occupation scheme creating a total of 14 units.

The site has a total area of 176 square metres, including a yard to the rear, accessed from the property.Main access into the building will be accessed on foot directly fromThe heritage design and access statement said: “The works to the front elevation will also improve the aesthetic and restore the existing Listed building within the street scene, by making good and replacing like for like materials that are sensitive for the listing.

“To consider materiality of the property when making alterations that are high quality, as well as improving the overall energy efficiency of the building through secondary glazing to the windows on the front elevation.”
