The really disappointing thing is the UK government are trying to smoke screen us that this special relationship exists.

I didn’t need the Iran crisis to highlight the one way relationship. Roll on the Brexit negotiations

We all know that and so does history.

You need the Iran crisis to tell you that

The man on the left looks positively angry at BorisJohnson for asking why he was not told of the assassination plot beforehand

Your relationship with Trump... Don't bunch America with that criminal

Are we surprised? Did we not know that?

One word for US & UK relationship - United Terrorist and Warmonger

Yes. UK must try harder. Leftists have been acting like children protesting and flying balloons - USA keep telling us Brexit is great and let’s do a deal, but Labour kept saying a deal with America was terrible. Applaud America’s patience. Truly our greatest ally.

BJ, you think your relationship is special, DJT thinks how can I stuff them.. Beware..

Because they didn't inform you about one military operation that's not even related to the UK? Come on... Sure, he should've informed you beforehand but you people are blowing this way out of proportion

If this crisis was necessary to clarify the special relationship wasn’t worth a warm bucket of piss, I’m afraid folks must just be thick!

There has never been a special relationship. Any positive forward thinking country will look after number 1. Britain worries too much what others think and doesn’t look after her own national interests - thats the crime here.

Trump doesn't care about alliances and destroys everything he touches. Steer clear of involvement with the US for as long as he and the Republicans are in power.

Iran foreign minister compares US to ISIS over Trump's heritage threatMohammad Javad Zarif (pictured) also accused Trump of aiding ISIS by killing general Qassem Soleimani, whose proxies fought against the terror group in Iraq. Zarif attended Drew College Preparatory School, a private college-preparatory high school located in San Francisco, California.[4] He went on to study at San Francisco State University, from which he gained a B.A. in 1981 and M.A. in 1982, both in international relations.[13] Following this, Zarif continued his studies at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver, from which he obtained a second M.A. in international relations in 1984 and a Ph.D. in international law and policy in 1988.[14][15] Could both Iran & US be on the same page, several scrimmages over time but not a war Iran's foreign minister, Zarif, spent twenty years in the US.'

US 'ready for serious negotiations' with IranThe US tells the UN it is open to talks to avoid more escalation after the exchange of hostilities. Sure. Too bad Trump's insanely provocative 'martyrdom' of Soleimani has made that utterly impossible, isn't it? A soft tune like this is what the UN wants 2 hear 4rm both the conflicting sides. Yeah, according to the UN Article 51, which both countries have hypocritically hinged their nefarious vested interests on, we can't but grudgingly admit the need for their self-defence respectively. 'We murdered your greatest living patriot, now we want to negotiate.'
