They may cut from the live feed to other pictures, so they may rely just on Graham’s words.
Despite the unrest ahead of the final, Mr Norton remained confident that viewers would still see the “Eurovision they know and love”.: “I must say coming home last night, the town didn’t seem kind of, you know, to be a big street party.“But in the arena last night, I was there, and it was very much business as usual. You know, the crowds were going wild, songs… big reactions, it felt very much like any other Eurovision once you were in that arena.
The jury, including 1997 UK winner Katrina, must judge entries solely on song originality and vocal performance and ignore any wider considerations.The BBC was accused of “self-censorship” during Thursday night’s semi-final, broadcast live on BBC One.
