$19 for a beer, $26 for Tim Tams and $5.70 for a coffee: The disgusting price hikes at airports

Australian airports have been called out for slugging jetsetters with high prices. A jar of Vegemite costs $19, when the spread sells for just $8 at supermarkets. Passengers and airport users plea for federal MPs to put an end to the monopoly.

It's beyond ridiculous

I saw $8 for a can of Bud at JFK. Dare I put down Bud regardless of price? Nuff said I guess. I wonder what it cost before beverages couldn't get through security. Captive audience. Oh well.

Airport prices are the same in New Zealand. Auckland airport is ridiculously expensive. We never buy anything there if we can help it.

I take sandwiches and a flask of tea

Vegemite is gross at any price.

Don’t buy at airports never have done except a newspaper and you get free water with it as well
