There is nothing better than a stroll on a summer's day down the Lincolnshire coast. So long as the weather is not too hot, your four-legged companion also loves to stretch their legs on the sand.

There's nothing quite like a summer's day walk along the Lincolnshire coast. Provided the weather isn't too scorching, your canine companion will also relish the chance to frolic on the sandy shores.

However, not all beaches welcome dogs. There are restrictions on some beaches and some stretches of certain beaches as to when you can and can't take your canine friends, , reports Lincolnshire Live. This beach, popular with swimmers, is a great spot to bring your dog this summer. With a mix of sand and shingle, it's also a walker's paradise as the beach extends for miles.

Dogs are permitted on the sand, but from September 1 to 30 they're banned from the 'central area' of the beach. If you're visiting with your dog during these dates, don't fret - the rest of the beach remains open to your pet.Fondly known as 'Fitties', this beach near Cleethorpes is perfect for a leisurely walk. From here, you can enjoy fantastic views of ships and boats departing the ports. Dogs are allowed on the beach throughout the year.

But dog owners need to be cautious as pets are banned from part of the beach between May 1 and September 30. The restricted area extends 270 metres south of the pullover at Anderby Creek. At Cleethorpes Beach, dogs are prohibited at all times. This rule has caught out a few dog walkers in the past, with one reviewer on 'the beach guide' website claiming he was fined after walking his dog 'near to the beach entrance'.

Mablethorpe Town's golden beach is lovely to visit, but restrictions apply for those wishing to walk a dog. Between May 1 and September 30, dogs are not allowed on the central section of the sand.A popular choice among Lincolnshire tourists, Skegness Beach has stringent rules for dog owners.
